Nils and Matt talk about when officers can use a fib or lie in an investigation. They also talk about when you have to give law enforcement your identification and when you do not need to give information to law enforcement.
 
“Does HIPAA apply in law enforcement?”
 
Officer often misspeak and say you can’t film something because of HIPAA. Often times officers are trying to protect someone’s privacy but have no legal authority to do so.
